Ukaholics Anonymous is a social group, who meet weekly to play ukulele (and sing, if you’re that way inclined). We cover a wide range of material drawing on all styles of music. Most of us drink tea and all of us enjoy laughing.
Players of all ages are welcome and beginners are given extra support to bring them up to speed. We also have a few ukes you can use, while you decide if the group is for you and then go out an buy your own.
We each pay £20 for each series of 5 meetings and this covers hire of the room, all song-sheets and the services of Pete Arnold, from The Hub – Diss Music School, who guides the group. Your first session is free, so you can see if this really is the way you want spend your Wednesday evenings.
We meet on Wednesdays between 7.30 and 9.00 p.m. at The Quaker Meeting House 10, Frenze Road, Diss IP22 4PA.
You can contact the group through Pete Arnold, using The Hub contact details or through the Ukaholics Anonymous Facebook page.
“Like” the Facebook page page and you’ll be able to keep in touch with what the group is up to and see if we’re out and about, playing near you.
